President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa handed the Economic Operator Certificate to two companies after fulfilling all criteria of the certificate.
The criteria include the commitment to the maximum level of customs systems and procedures, as well as related activities listed in the Customs Affairs’ economic operator guide.
The President of Customs hailed the companies that obtained the certificates, highlighting that they are representing a role model for other firms to follow their footsteps. He noted the dedication of the Customs Affairs to promote partnership between the public and private sectors.
It is worth mentioning that the Economic Operator Programme aims to facilitate the international trade and customs supervisory role. It provides various privileges and facilities for the operators through facilitating the exports and import operations.
