Prohibited and Restricted Items
For the purposes of promoting legitimate trade and community safety, goods imported or exported across the borders of the Kingdom of Bahrain are subject to local laws and regulations, and international agreements and treaties. This applies to imported and exported items, whether it be personal or commercial
In import
Prohibited goods: goods that the state prohibits from importing based on the Unified Customs Law or any other law.
Restricted Goods: goods that are restricted at import under the Unified Customs Law or any other Law.
- It requires the granting of the necessary permits from the Other Government Agencies (OGA) before import.
Goods subject to procedure (inspection upon arrival): goods that are subject to inspection procedures when imported according to the administrative decisions issued by the Other Government Agencies (OGA). The approval of the Other Government Agencies (OGA) is required before it is disclosed.
In export
Prohibited goods: goods that the state prohibits from being exported based on the Unified Customs Law or any other law.
Restricted goods: goods that are restricted at importwhose export is restricted the Unified Customs “Law” or any other “Law”.
It requires necessary permits from the Other Government Agencies (OGA) before exporting.
Goods subject to the procedure (examination on export): goods that are subject to inspection procedures when exported according to the Other Government Agencies (OGA) decisions issued. The approval of the regulatory authority is required before it is disclosed.
