Customs launches the customs authorization service on the e-government port ...

Customs Affairs has launched the customs authorisation service on the e-government portal website Bahrain.bh to meet Bahrain Vision 2030 and the eighth sustainable development goal, “decent work and economic growth”, by enabling merchants to authorise customs clearance agencies electronically. The service is part of the directives of Customs Affairs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide e-services. The Director of Information Systems, Amal Bujandal, said the service is available to all holders of valid CRs.

President of Customs takes part Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference in Riyadh

President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa participated in the e Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference in Riyadh that was held from February 8 to 9. The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) Mohammed Al-Jadaan. The President of Customs highlighted steps Customs Affairs took to facilitate trade through the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programme.
