President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa asserted on Tuesday the importance of the Customs Single Window (OFOQ2), as part of the strategy of the logistic services sector as part of the promising sectors as part of the economic recovery plan.

He said that the project is among the best regional and international smart customs practices and solutions, for reinforcing digital customs transactions and data exchange and many other programmes as part of the customs value system.

WCO approves Bahrain proposal for customs data exchange platform

His Excellency President of Customs and Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has chaired the three-day meeting of the 85th session of the WCO General Policies Committee.
The committee approved to conduct a feasibility study of a proposal submitted by HE Shaikh Ahmed to form an international platform to exchange customs data and information under the WCO.
