HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa appointed Chairperson of WCO Council

The World Customs Organisation (WCO) announced that His Excellency Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa had won unopposed the position of the Chairperson of WCO council during the virtual extraordinary session 137 of the WCO council held from December 10 to 12 with the participation of 183 member countries.

President of Customs and Acting Chairperson of the Wolrd Customs Organisation (WCO), Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa will chair on Monday the six-day meetings of the 83rd Session of the Policy Commission.

The meeting will discuss topics on the agenda to refer them to the WCO council, including the approval of the 82nd session report and the General Secretariat report for the last phase.
