The Director-General of Customs Inspection and Security of the Customs Affairs, Brigadier Abdullah Al Kubaisi has attended a lecture on value-added tax (VAT).
The event aimed to informed the customs personnel and clients, mainly clearance agents on steps that would be taken from January 1, including taxes and administrative fees.
The President of the Customs Affairs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has announced the launching of the e-linkage website between the Customs Clearance System and the DHL.
He said that this advanced step was part of the Economic Vision 2030 to enhance ties with the private sector. He said that this partnership allows the agent to enter the data of the shipments electronically in the Customs Affairs system.
